FAQ

How can I register with LocumPro?

To initiate your registration process, please navigate to the ‘Register’ page located at the top of our webpage. You’ll be prompted to provide various details. Once submitted, our dedicated coordinator will review your information and determine your suitability for our agency. Expect a call or text from the coordinator, who will discuss your fit and guide you through the next steps.

Can I register as a dispenser if I’m a Pharmacy student?

Yes, pharmacy students can register with evidence of their degree. This evidence must be an official document from your University of study. Evidence must be uploaded in place of an NVQ Level 2 Certificate.

What is the process for taxation and self-employment for Locums?

Locums are classed as self-employed, subject to specific regulations. Find guidance at https://www.gov.uk/working-for-yourself.

How and when will I be paid for Locum shifts?

Our agency doesn’t manage locum payments; companies directly pay you. If payment disputes arise, we offer assistance. Send an email to registrations@locumpro.uk detailing your payment issue. Our team will review the matter and provide support.

Am I reimbursed for mileage?

Companies we collaborate with have varied mileage contributions and claiming procedures. While registering, you’ll receive a breakdown of mileage rates. Adjustments to rates are communicated through a new mileage help sheet. Inform LocumPro of your mileage preferences.

How will I receive my shifts?

You’ll receive a text outlining shifts booked for the following Day/Week/Month. It’s crucial to reply promptly as shifts can be booked up quickly.

What’s the furthest I need to travel for shifts?

Travel distance varies based on your area and rate preferences. While we expect a willingness to travel up to an hour, actual distances can be less or more. We’ll consult you before confirming any bookings.

What should I do if I can’t attend a shift?

For advance cancellations, inform Locumpro to handle the shift reassignment. For last-minute cancellations, text Locumpro and call the office number to reach the on-call coordinator.

What is the dress code?

Professional and appropriate attire is expected throughout your work. While attire specifics are your choice, complaints may arise if deemed inappropriate.
